No offense against Denver (my friend JJN hails from a quiet burb Conifer). I've never been there, so I have no right to judge. But after the debacle that is this year's Real World 45: Denver, I think having the 2008 Democratic Convention there only spells disaster.
I mean, if I were Howard Dean I most likely would've gone down the Republican path of disaster-sploitation and held it in New Orleans. It wouldn't have been tasteful at all, but ladies, tasteful never wins election does it? Imagine it now, the antichrist combo of Clinton/Obama accepting the nomination in the Ninth Ward, on the rubble of homes and cars. The sheer exploitation of it just brings sweet tears to my eyes.
