Only in Gay New York

Last week I was walking to the subway after leaving class w a friend from school. Said friend (lets call him P) - gay, cute, international, was regaling me w stories of a Sunday night at Hiro recently. His friend, R, gets tired of Hiro and urges my friend P to come w him to the East Side Club.

For those of you not familiar, The East Side Club is a notorious gay bathhouse in the East 50's. I've never been, thank you very much, but I am fully cognizant of the goings-on there.

My friend P, who still insists he wish he hadn't gone, is walking around the bathhouse in a little towel, when lo and behold, he sees Tag Eriksson - a famous muscle porn star of Jet Set Productions. Tag takes a liking to P and asks if he can, well, pleasure my friend. P - who loves this porn star - happily obliges. Tag then goes on to whore it around with other men at the bathhouse. You'd think one would naturally be a whore by just being there, but P made it a point to say Tag was uber-slut.

Fast forward to the following week: P grabs a copy of HX (gay NYC weekly) and guess who's on the cover? None other than slutty porn star himself. The cover article basically is about how Tag - whose real name is Fredrik Eklund - used to be a porn star but now is an ultra successful Manhattan real estate broker with high profile clients and nearly $75 mill in sales last year alone. The touching article discusses how pornstar-cum-broker was once a successful businessman in Sweden, turned to porn b/c he was burnt out (and because he wanted to write a book about it) then went back into real estate. Yeah - who gives a shit right? That's not the best part.

I'm skimming the article, and at the bottom is a brief description of his real estate company and some of the properties he represents. "Well well well," I say to myself as I come across the property name "The Onyx" - a luxury condo development in Chelsea whose lobby will be designed by Vera Wang herself. And one of the building's future tenants? None other than NAY himself - my best friend here in NYC.

I forward the article to NAY, who gay-screams OMG (well over I.M.), that Fredrik was the guy that showed him the property and his contact with The Onyx's marketing office.

I tell Nay of pornstar-cum-broker's exploits at the sexclub w P, he emails Fredrik a little "Oh I saw your article in HX wink wink" email, and Fredrik replies with something wholly unrelated to the HX article, ignoring the issue completely. Real estate broker by day, cum whore by night...
